This is what we saw when we removed the loose fiberglass. The wood under the bow sprit was soft so we had to lift off the bowsprit and find the extent of the degraded material. We found some serious decay in the sub-deck plywood and structural members at the stem head directly under the bowsprit, for that purpose the bowsprit was removed and the cutting out all the bad wood and installing new material in this area begin..New wood going in to the bow section .From the bow , getting ready to permanently install new timber.

Leveling deck with epoxy and filling all the potential leak spots.
Dry fitting teak. The design has to go evenly around all three masts, two cabin tops, ventilation openings, bow strit .On the back of the boat the teak has to be finished around cockpit area so it is finished in the same sequences as it started. This design is original, and quite unique for this particular boat.
Port side. Freshly glued boards and the removal of fasteners of the boards that was glued yesterday.
Around the cockpit area.
Side pieces, not just have to repeat the exact  shape of boards with the 1/4 gap for the caulking, they also have to follow the curve of the boat with 3/4 inch gap between side railings and teak deck, for that purpose I have to laminate pieces together to be able to cut out of teak boards to fit something like that...fun.!

One week before Tall ship show, Caulking is filled , time for final sending and putting boat back together...

Wet teak showing all incredible colors possible. The owner is happy , time for show.
